This was the eigth Song to be released on Patreon in November of 2022

"Marking the 20 years to this Month of the release of my debut EP, I thought to share with you this little semi-precious stone from the archive, only uncovered when I began this digital museum project for you! I had honestly forgotten any other versions of the songs on that E.P existed. Before I made the final version that closes the Patrick Wolf E.P that you all have come to know, this was my first draft composed in my bedroom studio, finished on an evening I invited my friend Leo, back then a recent Masters graduate as Recorder player from music school, layering up a circling sky of recorders in every register. Theres not too much to say that cant be said by listening apart from a note on the recognisable adolescence to it all, I think I was probably far too histrionic, and wild to sing the peaceful folk ballad I had written at that time, but I do admire the commitment in hindsight, and in a way the juxtaposition is quite fascinating to me here two decades later, for such a supposedly peaceful song, I wonder why I had the faders up really hot on this demo in my studio, a question my memory can't answer'

this demo was always archived as "the circling sky demo" which gave me the idea of an album of that very name, which went on to be my B-Sides album released in the December of 2023
