about

Opening with a cover of Patti Smith's "My Blakean Year" one of the first songs I played viola with her on since I began playing in her band, or accompanying for our duo acoustic shows, one that I would play so much
over the years with her that it felt right to do when asked by Jamie Hince (the kills) to record a cover for mtv with my own band. Serpentine is a song recorded for Sundark and Riverlight when i was considering putting new songs on the album, recorded at Real World Studios. My favourite live version of This Weather recorded in a church during a storm in Iceland and To The Lighthouse's original Atari St programming I made in 1999, before I had fully finished the lyrics or melody, this was the first draft I made with the technology I had in my bedroom. The Matador, see Archive EP3 for further explanation of origin.

Archive EP2 was originally released on CDR, pressed and printed at my kitchen table in 2013 then available for a limited time as a download in 2017. full credits are in the attached pdf liner notes that come with the purchase of this EP here at Bandcamp.
